Barossa Contemporary: Festival for the Curious aims to be the most significant regional arts festival in Australia.
It will celebrate, explore, and extend culture and tourism in the Barossa providing substantial visitation, media opportunities and economic impact for the state. It will showcase the Barossa’s current identity as a breeding ground for innovative and artisanal skill while infusing the Barossa with contemporary artistic practice that will challenge and excite people’s perception of the region.
Unique events and experiences will be held in some of the Barossa’s most stunning attractions. Hidden gems will be transformed into immersive pop-up spaces created specifically for the Barossa Contemporary preview program.
With over 200 performances at 16 venues, Barossa Contemporary: Festival for the Curious will bring the region to life with exclusive music, art, food, and wine experiences in five spectacular locations.
Barossa Contemporary will encompass as much of the Barossa region as possible. To celebrate the many aspects of its geographical and cultural features it will provide an unexpected perspective of what the Barossa has to offer.
